Brace yourselves… “Those People” are celebrating their 40th Anniversary, and of all the Three Skully things we’ve done, this one will be the Three Skully-est!!!!
*****We can’t wait to celebrate with ALL of our Medieval friends!****
Join us in beautiful an Dubhaigeainn on May 11 to celebrate House Three Skulls’s 40th Founding Day. Our anniversary celebration will include all of your favorite Skull-tastic activities including a fencing tournament, archery, classes, thrown weapons, bardic, an A&S display, dedicated crafting space, and youth activities.
Our household history is very important to us, and so we will have a display to showcase our history, memorabilia, and artifacts, as well as a display to honor the lives and stories of our brethren who have passed. If you have any pictures, memorabilia, artifacts, or stories you would like to share for the event, please reach out to the Event Stewards at h3s40@andub.eastkingdom.org
The food at this event is going to be nothing short of amazing! We’ve got Gil heading up our kitchen team, so you know that means the food is going to be outstanding. The menu he is putting together will feature three removes, each including a medieval dish and a dish representing one of the most popular foods from each of the decades House Three Skulls has experienced. Desert will feature Persian Love Cakes made by House Three Skull’s very own Lady Dahlia, and rumor has it that Baroness Fiona will be offering up some of her tasty libations. If you have any dietary concerns, please reach out to the Event Stewards.
Merchants are welcome! Please contact the Event Steward to reserve your spot.

Fencing: Kill the Chieftain
This is a fencing scenario, modified ENDURO bear pit. 60 minutes, 15 min break, then run again.
Standard fencing rules apply for single combat, Double kills are double kills.
First 2 persons use single sword and duel to choose who will be first Chieftain (points count as if both are Chieftain). Opponents have all wounds removed
once they become the Chieftain. The Chieftain retains all wounds while in list field as Chieftain. Chieftain decides weapons forms he/she will use to face all opponents –this is limited to those forms that the individual has qualifications. Chieftain MUST cycle between ALL different weapons forms that they have at their disposal on winning the Throne a second and all subsequent times. Should the Chieftain cycle through the entire list field, they must retire, and the next 2 persons fight for the Throne as first listed (single sword only).
There are two ways to beat the Chieftain – either defeat via normal fencing rules, OR sit on the Chair (Throne) prior to getting killed. An opponent who is legged can leg walk/hop to the Throne, should the opportunity arise. The Chieftain may fight from the Throne (seated) if they wish. If the Chieftain is disarmed of a single weapon and not sitting on the Throne, the opponent MAY choose to make a break for the Throne, rather than facing the Chieftain in honorable combat. ALL opponents will fight in the list field with Single Sword to face the Chieftain. ANY opponent or Chieftain may retire from the field at any time without penalties, NO points will be awarded.
SPECIAL: if both Chieftain and Opponent agree, a challenge bout may be fought with Greatsword, double points awarded.
Scoring: Facing the Chieftain and losing 1 pt. Wounding the Chieftain and losing, 2 pt. Killing the Chieftain or Claiming the Throne 3 pts. Defeating an opponent as Chieftain 2 pt.
Archery: Defend against Raiders!
Archers will repel and defend the village from raiders.
Archery inspections and practice will start at 10:30 AM
Tourney will start at 11:45 AM
Part One: Landing Boats.
Bowmen will loose six-untimed, “flaming” arrows at a raiders boat targeting the boat, sails, crew, troops with arrows tipped with rubber washers and streamers. Washers and streamers will be provided.
Crossbowmen will target the crew, troops and the boats braziers with six-untimed bolts.
Parts Two: Advancing Raiders
This will be conducted just like the Advancing Warrior shoot.
Raider targets will be placed between 40 yards and 15 yards. At the Line marshall’s direction, archers will shoot at the furthest target to start and progress to the nearest target. Each range will be allotted approximately a five to eight second window to loose an arrow at.
Part Three: Friend or Foe
Villagers and Raider targets will be mixed on the range. Archers will loose four-untimed arrows/bolts at Raider targets without hitting villagers. There will be a negative score for hitting a villager.
