Come join Barony An Dubhaigheainn as our patron saint, St Andrew, finally makes it to York in the early 1300’s. During this time, York and the greater county of Yorkshire were especially vulnerable to attacks from Scotland after England’s loss in the battle of Bannockburg in 1314. An attempt was made at defending York by gathering 3000 citizens to protect against the invading armies.
Baronial Rattan Championship
Which brings us to our Heavy List Tournament, where folks are being gathered to show their physical prowess in combat, courtesy, and chivalry.
The tournament to determine the next Baronial Rattan Champion will be the main event of the day!
The tournament is open to all gentles but only a resident of An Dubhaigheiann can be named champion by their Excellencies. If a gentle from outside of the barony wins the tournament, they will receive a prize. The Baronial Rattan Champion will be chosen by the Coronet based on courtesy, comportment, and overall standing in the tournament. Tournament format is TBA and details will be added later.
This event is also our Baronial Investiture. The current Coronet Prefect Titus Aurelius Magnus and Baroness Sorcha of Stonegrave are stepping down after six years of service. We will be welcoming our new Baronesses, Fiona the Volatile and Hugoline the Delicate.
